WHAT IS A CHEK PRACTITIONER?

The Corrective High-performance Kinesiology Institute is an elite educational and corrective exercise center based in San Diego, CA.
The C.H.E.K Institute’s approach to corrective exercise is representative of the education and philosophies of the founder, Paul Chek.

Chek Practitioners are specialists in corrective exercise to successfully rehabilitate from injury and strength and conditioning for sports performance. Corrective exercise is a useful adjunct to chiropractic, osteopathic, physiotherapy and any health-care treatment, especially when the acute or sub-acute therapy is no longer needed by the client/patient.

Corrective exercise commonly addresses:

Back, neck, knee and hip pain
Postural & muscle imbalances
Work, home or sports injuries that seem to never go away even after surgery or initial treatment.

HOW CAN A C.H.E.K PRACTITIONER HELP YOU?

A C.H.E.K practitioner is skilled to help you achieve your goals:

  • To recover from injury
  • Become pain freeIncrease your sports performance
  • Increase your productivity at work
  • Improve your appearance

By using corrective, traditional and mind-body exercise therapy, complex issues can be resolved.

Every client’s individuality (there is no ‘one size fits all’ exercise program) will be assessed in a professional manner and ‘conditioned’ for the way we need to live today in order to prevent the many postural dysfunctions that have emerged over the last 20 years!

Depending on the level of complexity you present it may be necessary to suggest the use of other allied professionals of which I will gladly recommend.

Program instruction: You will be personally guided through each specific stretch and exercise that has been developed for you to progressively obtain your goal.

Program progression: A reevaluation every 4-6 weeks is recommended in order to progress your program.
